Jack Ryan is back, and he is not happy. The second season of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan has unveiled a new trailer and premiere date, and it looks like the unorthodox action hero is unraveling his biggest conspiracy yet.
The new season, which stars The Office‘s John Krasinski as the titular hero, sees Ryan uncover evidence that the Russians may be on the verge of providing nuclear weapons to Venezuela. As he bluntly puts it in the trailer, the South American nation becoming a nuclear power would mean the death of the United States, so the gun-toting CIA analyst heads out on a globe-trotting adventure to try and stop a crisis. Here’s the official synopsis, courtesy of The Wrap:
In the second season of ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan,’ after tracking a potentially suspicious shipment of illegal arms in the Venezuelan jungle, CIA Officer Jack Ryan heads down to South America to investigate. As Jack’s investigation threatens to uncover a far-reaching conspiracy, the President of Venezuela launches a counter-attack that hits home for Jack, leading him and his fellow operatives on a global mission spanning the United States, UK, Russia, and Venezuela to unravel the President’s nefarious plot and bring stability to a country on the brink of chaos.
Season two of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Nov. 1.
