The First ‘Fast & Furious 9’ Teaser Reveals a Major Twist

The first teaser has been released for the upcoming ninth(!) Fast & Furious movie, and it reveals a major change for the franchise’s “family.”

In the short teaser, we see that Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) are living an idyllic and quiet life on a farm. But they aren’t alone. With them is a young boy, who just so happens to be their son. The boy is named Brian after the late Paul Walker’s character, and it’s clear that the little fella has inspired some major changes in his action star parents. But their happy family life may not be long for this world, as Letty warns Brian that something bad is coming. Check out the teaser below.

In addition to the spoilerific teaser, the film has also released a number of posters. The first poster revealed the film’s odd title of F9: The Fast Saga, while subsequent character posters show off the new and returning faces. In addition to Diesel and Rodriguez, series mainstays Chris Bridges, Jordana Brewster, and Tyrese Gibson are all back for another ride. Also back are Nathalie Emmanuel, who appeared in the last two films, and Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron from The Fate of the Furious. New additions include Michael Rooker, Cardi B, and John Cena, who replaces the departed Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the pro-wrestler-turned-popular actor co-star of the franchise.

The official synopsis for the film has yet to be revealed, but we’re guessing it’s going to revolve around little Brian in some way. We’ll find out when F9 races into theaters on May 22.

In recent years, Gibson has focused...
