John then teams up with the local sheriff, takes on a disguise and begins investigating cattle rustlers who could be connected to the disappearance. He's led to a corrupt banker (Frank McGlynn Jr.), who has plans to take over the town.

It isn't long before he discovers the culprit is his old colleague Gaerity, seeking revenge from their shared past.

When Harry is arrested for the robbery, Dolly provides him with an alibi, but when he plans on leaving town with Gloria, Dolly is understandably upset.

Bu, when George gets a better offer from the competition, he turns on Mike, breaking his elbow and shoulder. It takes Mike a long time and a lot of physical therapy to get back on the job, but he does -- and coincidentally finds himself protecting a client whom Hansen and his gang are simultaneously being paid to assassinate.
