Arnold Schwarzenegger & Jackie Chan Face Off in ‘The Iron Mask’ Trailer

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jackie Chan, two of the biggest action heroes ever, are finally facing off for the first time on the big screen — and we’ve got the trailer to prove it.

The Iron Mask, a Russian-Chinese production that was released last year in China, is now on its way to the U.K. where western audiences will finally be able to see these two legends do battle. And though the trailer and the film’s poster make it look as if Chan and Schwarzenegger are the stars of the film, that’s not really the case. In fact, they pretty much have glorified cameos. In the historical epic, Chan plays a prisoner while Arnold portrays a guard at the tower where he is being held. Their scenes together make up about half the trailer, but all of the clips appear to be from the same scene in the film in which Arnie tries to prevent Chan from escaping the prison, which leads to a fight between the two. Check it out below.

OK, so the headling-grabbing fight isn’t what this movie is really about, and the trailer probably gives most of said fight away. And yet, it’s still pretty awesome to see these two absolute legends go at it. As for what the movie is actually about, that’s anyone’s guess. The trailer is wildly confusing, but we do know that the main character is an English cartographer named Jonathan Green (Jason Flemyng), and that the film is a sequel to 2014’s The Forbidden Kingdom, which was also about Green’s globe-trotting adventures. Here’s the very oddly-worded official synopsis, courtesy of /Film.

Early 1700: Cartographer J.Green is back to map Russian Far East. He’s forced on to China, where he confronts the Dragon Master et al. The iron masked Russian Tsar escapes Tower of London to a Russian ship.

Does this movie look any good? No. No, it does not. But it definitely looks like a lot of fun — especially the bits with Jackie and Arnie.

The Iron Mask hits theaters in the UK on April 10.

In recent years, Gibson has focused...
