A couple months back, we covered the first teaser of the upcoming Jordan Peele-produced, Al Pacino-starring series Hunters. That teaser did exactly what it was supposed to do: It teased the series, without giving too much away. Now, a full-length trailer for the show has arrived, and it’s giving us a much better idea of what we should expect from this action-packed, Nazi-hunting extravaganza.
While the first teaser focused almost entirely on Pacino as the ringleader of an underground group of Nazi hunters, the new trailer highlights the team. We’re introduced to the lockpicker, the spy, the soldier, the master of disguise, and two weapons experts, all introduced through the eyes of the team’s newest recruit: a young man who’s mourning the loss of his grandmother after she was murdered by a Nazi posing as a burglar.
The new trailer is full of action, with lots of fistfights, gunplay, and one instance of Pacino using a knife to secure a Nazi’s hand to a table in a scene that recalls Magneto’s Nazi-hunting from X-Men: First Class. Apparently, that’s the go-to move of discerning Nazi-hunters the world over. You can check out the new trailer below, followed by the official synopsis.
Inspired by true events, HUNTERS follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters in 1977 New York City who discover that hundreds of escaped Nazis are living in America. And so, they do what any bad-ass vigilante squad would do: they set out on a bloody quest for revenge and justice. But they soon discover a far-reaching conspiracy and must race against time to thwart the Nazis’ new genocidal plans.
Hunters premieres on Amazon Prime on Feb. 21.
