Action movie fans, you’re about to be put on notice; Red Notice, that is, because three of the hottest names in the game are joining forces for a new thriller.
Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds has signed on to the upcoming action-thriller Red Notice, which already had Wonder Woman herself Gal Gadot and megastar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson attached, giving the new film an impressive trio of blockbuster talent. The movie was also recently picked up by Netflix for distribution after it was ditched by Universal, most likely making it the most expensive film ever produced by the streaming giant. Red Notice is both written and directed by Skyscraper‘s Rawson Marshall Thurber.
The movie is said to be a globe-trotting heist film, with filming taking place in a number of different countries. The plot follows an Interpol agent (Johnson) who tracks the world’s greatest — and most wanted — art thieves (Gadot and Reynolds) around the planet. “They’re the greatest and most sophisticated art thieves the world has even (sic) known and have all the answers. Until I change the questions – because I’m really good at my job too,” Johnson wrote on Instagram.
Shooting on Red Notice is set to start in January, with a Netflix release planned for later in 2020.
