Quentin Tarantino May Finally Make ‘Kill Bill 3’

Quentin Tarantino has been a busy guy lately. His new movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood comes out this month, he’s discussing directing a Star Trek movie, and he’s even talked of filming a Django Unchained/Zorro crossover. But apparently, that’s not enough for the eclectic filmmaker, as he’s also been thinking about making a third Kill Bill movie.

While speaking to Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Tarantino revealed that not only is he considering returning to the world of Kill Bill, but also that he’s spoken to star Uma Thurman about it. “Me and Uma have talked about it recently, frankly, to tell you the truth,” Tarantino said on the podcast, according to Collider. “I have thought about it a little further. We were talking about it literally last week. If any of my movies were going to spring from my other movies, it would be a third Kill Bill.”

This seems especially surprising, not just because it’s been 15 years since Kill Bill: Volume 2 came out, but also because Thurman last year was critical of Tarantino’s behavior on the set of the film, telling the New York Times that he forced her to perform her own car crash stunt which resulted in lifelong injuries. Several executives at Miramax, including Harvey Weinstein, allegedly then covered up the accident, denying Thurman of any form of justice. She hasn’t worked with Tarantino since, and though she has remarked that she’s forgiven him for his role in the vent, we can’t imagine she’s all that anxious to return to the franchise that quite literally almost killed her.

Thurman has yet to respond to Tarantino’s claim, but she did share an Instagram photo of herself with the director on the set of Kill Bill as she congratulated him on the release of Once Upon a Time. So who knows? Maybe the Bride will be back in action yet.

Michael Mann’s 1995 crime thriller Heat is best remembered for being the first film in which screen legends Robert De Niro and Al Pacino share a scene together. The two have since performed together a couple more times, most recently to critical acclaim in last year’s The Irishman. We’re thinking Mann must be a fan...

In recent years, Gibson has focused...
